Over Due

It is high time we take a closer look at our monetary reality. Money isn’t bad, it is the idea that went wrong, & that money is important and mainly money can get you what you want. This is a lie and some one always has to loose out for some one to come up. This thinking has grown out of control sense the 90’s when anyone willing to sell out could grow upon credit even though they didn’t earn it and it became a hi-jacker of culture and put power into the hands of wealth and the masses just blindly followed. Just look at what happened to music, we use to have depth and talent and now from JZ to Snoop Dog Eric Clapton to Celine Dian American priority’s got lost in obsession of the Elitism of self perpetuation. Hip Hop, Rock N Role, Jazz, and other forms of creative cultural identity were blindly sold off to the highest bidder watering down there relevance to anything meaningful or politically motivating. The origins of all these music forms came out of struggle and oppression and served a liberation to the listening ear. This is nothing new, Elvis Presley was an Americas poster child to save white girls from becoming influenced by people like Chuck Berry and Sam Cook, to Miles Davis. Im not saying Elvis wasn’t talented all i’m saying is his music was superficial, Just look at what happened to the lyrical content of KRS ONE and Chuck D, it seems Corporate America Black Listed this form of music, so I give the biggest props to Boots Ryley of The Coup who has never sold out and is currently looking and sounding more like the greats; Huey Newton, Eldridge Cleaver, you know we need some soul back in our lives and I think it is high time we loose our interest in Credit and Debt because it is a cancer that has devastated America as bad as racism and segregation. Class-ism goes hand in hand with the miss treatment of Women and the Poor and it is so pathetic that we see so many giving up on there humanity for elite status. There is nothing wrong with compensation and some things have more value than others but that is like apples and bananas. It should be personal preference and not state standard. I apologize to those who think I should shut up and just paint but i’m not going to. Sometimes things matter a whole lot more than your peripheral reality and I would encourage any one to become inquisitive and question there reality as we sit on the edge of global financial slavery. My hope is that everyone who once gave a crap about the origins of these cultural experiments of music, those who felt free when they herd Jimi Hendrix Frank Zappa, or Marvin Gaye realize what’s been missing for nearly 20 years.   Wake up America.
